Into me, into you: Immerse

I began this piece as part of a much larger "Corona series" created during the ShelterInPlace orders that went into effect in March 2020. I revisited a few of these pieces recently and infused some new layers which are the spheres, that evolved during the latter part of 2020 and are now in most of my more recent works. The spheres represent the collective individual who impacts and affects other individuals - sharing space and overlapping with one another in time and place. These spheres also look to the earth and our impact upon it - and it on us. The concept of our connectivity - the overlap and reflection of ourselves onto each other pervades my thoughts and therefore, has become infused into this series. 

I process my life experiences through art-making and layer my thoughts and feelings into each piece. As isolation, uncertainty and fear took hold of life - and the wave of human suffering consumed many of us whole, I put it all into each of these pieces - week by week, layer by layer.
