In this body of work, the normally solitary necktie is brought together in the thousands. Organized into gradients of color and pattern, and used like a "tapered pixel", the ties always remain intact but are subjected to repeated actions (wrapping, curving, folding, sewing, stacking). These actions result in organic, biomorphic and geometric forms. The materials embody the practice of repurposing that which has been discarded, transforming individualistic condition by reimagining, converging and re-emerging in large, collective gestures.
