OPEN STUDIOS 2024
Welcome to Open Studios 2024! The Drawing Room is excited to be a share our gallery spaces this year for ArtSpan artists who want to participate in a group site. All of our spaces are great for showing art and are located in spots with the momentum and following of our 4500+ subscribers to our Mailing List as well as our social media efforts. Artists must be registered members of ArtSpan and will also be included in the online guide and their marketing efforts. Group sites are amazing ways to catch a lot people and cross promote with other artists. The Drawing Room has an established collector community as well as tremendous support by our neighbors and community activists to help artists get their work into the world.
All 3 spaces are unique and are well equipped for exhibiting art. We will have 2 locations in the Mission - both central to heavy foot traffic and large space with large walls and room for table top displays. 599 Valencia can accomodate up to 10-12 2D artists and 10-12 table top artists. 2675 Mission can accomodate 15 wall artists and 8 tabletop artists. Tabletop artists will be set up in the center of the room and wall artists can also have a small table or print rack for display in front of their wall but not to protrude more than 3' from wall. We are renting all spaces by the linear foot or table (we can provide the table or artists can bring their own standard 6' table). Linear wall space = 10' (no limit to height) or 6' table space $300. Artists can rent up to 2 linear spaces (20'w or 2 tables).
Our location at 210 Clement will also have the overlap and foot traffic of the Sunday Farmer's Market and the support of the Merchants Association for promotion. This space can accomodate up to 5 artists on 10'x10 walls, or a limited number of artists (2-3) taking over the entire gallery for setting up. Price is $300 per 10'x10'. Artists who would like to take over the space need to make an appointment with Renée to discuss the layout and installation.
Artists may sign up for both weekends, however must be registered with ArtSpan for both weekends. We will be hosting an opening party Friday night before the weekend extravaganza and are asking that artists install Thursday and be ready to boogie by 12pm on Friday. The event will be from 4-8pm and music will be provided as well as a donation bar. Rental fees includes our staff, live music for the Preview Party & host bar and use of space. Artists are responsible for installing, loading/unloading their own work.
